The Associate General Counsel is responsible for providing counsel and guidance on a wide variety of corporate legal matters related to healthcare regulations, corporate governance, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements essential for the business under the direction and supervision of the General Counsel
• Understand business needs and goals
• Detect legal issues and obstacles, identify solutions and alternatives, and counsel and communicate with the General Counsel and business leaders regarding legal risks, solutions, and alternatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Window-based applications
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Must have demonstrated skill in prioritizing daily responsibilities and crises to handle a heavy workload
• Sound business judgement and willingness to assist other team members as needed
• Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to learn new skills and remain flexible in order to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws

MUST HAVES

• Juris Doctorate from top-tier law school
• Active member in good standing with state bar
• 7+years experience

COMPENSATION: 

• $150,000 - 200,000 annually (Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position)
