We are seeking a self-driven and adaptable IT Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare IT to lead a wide range of projects supporting our clinical, operational, and enterprise growth. This role will manage a mix of external-facing projects and internal IT initiatives. The ideal candidate excels at managing complexity, engaging cross-functional teams, and navigating fast-paced, high-stakes environments with professionalism and poise.

 


Essential Functions

 

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technology projects, from planning through execution and closure.
  • Balance a mix of internal projects (e.g., infrastructure upgrades, data & analytics, enterprise app rollouts) and external initiatives (e.g., clinic acquisitions, DeNovo builds).
  • Create and maintain project artifacts including charters, workplans, timelines, RAID logs, and executive status reports.
  • Manage project scope, resources, risks, and budgets to deliver successful outcomes.

Healthcare Technology Integration

  • Oversee deployment of EMR systems (e.g., Epic, ReDoc) including training coordination, data migration, and user provisioning.
  • Coordinate infrastructure readiness: circuits, telecom, cabling, networking, end-user hardware.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with healthcare IT compliance standards (HIPAA, internal policies).

External Partnership & M&A Integration

  • Partner with external healthcare systems, hospital IT teams, and vendors to integrate acquired or partnered clinics into enterprise IT environments.
  • Lead technology workstreams for M&A integrations, clinic conversions, and DeNovo clinic launches, ensuring seamless transition and operational readiness.
  • Manage and ensure successful delivery of EMR build, network infrastructure, systems access, telecom setup, and all supporting technologies for acquired or new clinic sites.
  • Act as the key IT liaison for cross-organizational coordination, issue resolution, and escalation management.

Internal IT Project Delivery

  • Lead enterprise initiatives such as internal system upgrades, software implementations, data & analytics, cybersecurity, and infrastructure refreshes.
  • Partner with business leaders in HR, Finance, Growth, Clinical Ops, Compliance, etc. to ensure alignment and adoption of IT solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project governance, documentation, and process maturity.

  • Collaborative and diplomatic, especially when working with external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of clinical workflows and the patient journey, with specialized expertise in physical therapy operations.
  • Calm under pressure, especially during go-lives and escalations.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT healthcare project management experience.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare regulatory standards.
  • Proven ability to manage internal IT initiatives as well as external-facing IT projects.
  • Proficiency with Asana, Microsoft Project, FreshService, or similar PM tools.

Required Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
