PT Solutions in Fort Oglethorpe, GA is looking for a full-time Physical Therapist to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction. This role involves providing individualized care to patients with various conditions affecting the pelvic region, including incontinence, pelvic pain, post-surgical recovery, and other pelvic health issues.  Our goal is to create a work environment for clinicians to thrive while helping individuals regain their mobility, independence, and overall well-being through personalized treatment plans and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and Assess Patients: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including patient history, physical assessment, and diagnostic tests.  Caseload will also consist of general orthopedic patients.

  • Provide Manual Therapy & Develop Treatment Plans: Utilize manual therapy techniques to treat pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, including internal and external techniques as necessary. Create personalized, evidence-based treatment plans to address conditions. 

  • Patient Education: Educate patients on pelvic floor health, posture, body mechanics, and lifestyle modifications to manage symptoms and promote long-term recovery.

  • Collaboration with Medical Providers: Work in conjunction with other healthcare providers (urologists, gynecologists, surgeons, etc.) to ensure comprehensive care and facilitate the best patient outcomes.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies.

  • Monitor Progress: Track patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document improvements or setbacks.

  • Continuing Education: Stay current with the latest research and techniques in pelvic floor physical therapy and related fields.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
    • Additional certification or coursework in pelvic floor therapy.  New grads accepted with desire to pursue this specialty. 
  • Licensure:

    • Current state licensure as a physical therapist.
  • Skills:

    • Strong manual therapy skills, including internal pelvic floor assessments and treatments.
    • Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment protocols for pelvic health conditions.
