We are looking for a Manager of Data and Analytics in Atlanta to join our growing organization. The Data Manager plays a crucial role in leading and conducting data operations and analytics for our business and clinical operations. In this role, you will take a hands-on leadership, data strategist, and engineer role who enjoys building. This role also drives the overall data architecture and will be the go-to person for all things data-related. The role will partner across the organization to ensure a scalable data system. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of our data strategy, roadmap, KPIs, Business Intelligence, etc.


Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships across the organization with corporate stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain hiring and development practices for Data team.
  • Lead and manage Data Architecture Design & Implementation, Modeling & Design, Storage / Operations, Data Security, Data Integration and Interoperability, Document, and Content Management, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, Metadata Management, and Data Quality.
  • Establish scalable & sustainable data architecture framework and guide data ecosystem standards, including HIPAA rules & regulations, and working cross-functionally with the business teams to ensure that data is optimized.
  • Breakdown high-level initiatives into roadmaps with concrete milestones and timelines, effectively define tasks necessary for completing the project, delegate them to team members, track progress, and communicate project status effectively across the organization.
  • Lead data strategies and initiatives to support all related needs.
  • Partner with business areas to analyze data and identify opportunities to improve patient care, and population health outcomes.
  • Support requirements gathering and lead solution design analyses to provide recommendations for various platforms, flows, and technology stacks.
  • Define data flows across the organization (e.g., track which data sources are used per department, establishing sources of truth) to enable analytics.
  • Lead the maintenance of the data environment administration of the lake, warehouse, etc., including performance and data lifecycle service management monitoring and custodian of accrued technical debt
  • Leveraging these systems to synthesize sophisticated analysis into simple, meaningful and measurable insights.
  • Specific data strategies may include: enabling the employees to use data more effectively, ensuring enterprise data is accessible and high-quality, or leveraging technology to allow the storage, sharing, and analysis of company data
  • Support and contribute to the day-to-day leadership of the Data team by providing inspiration, empowerment, and mentorship to team members. May have direct reports.
  • Preferred location in Atlanta as we are a hybrid environment

 

Required Skills & Abilities

  • 5+ years’ experience in technology, data operations, data analytics, business intelligence or information systems.
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in a leadership role over data operations, data analytics, business intelligence or related information technology area.
  • Strong familiarity with Data Governance tools, methodologies, and best practices and information security standards.
  • Strong experience in Python, MS SQL, Power BI, Snowflake and Python 
  • Deep understanding of databases and application delivery.
  • Competency in risk identification and analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of data confidentiality regulations and strategies.
  • Ability to perform deep business analysis and to effectively collaborate on business projects.
  • Ability to multiple projects and recurring responsibilities effectively at a high level.
  • Deep experience in programming and code review processes.
  • Expertise in evaluating critical systems and data, prioritize workflow and determine solutions.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Availability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail, communication proficiency, and information seeking initiative.
  • Must be able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.Other job duties as assigned.

Required Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business area and a MBA is highly preferred.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
